Dear Mr. Meestre:
Appres Late your sending me a copy of your full page
ad in the St. Louis newspapers and the New York Times.
You are right about people holding back and waiting for
some one else to do the job for them. That is the whole
difficulty now, as I see it. People want to be deferred
from the Draft; want to be deferred from taxes, and every-
thing else.
However, no one is going to be deferred from sacrifices.
You can be very sure of that.
