For The Prince Regent Of Belgium

Gentlemen, we are highly honored tonight by the visit
from the head of a State that has always been our friend, a
State that we -- all of our citizens here in this country --
have admired, and one that we are proud to call friend.
I wish to propose a Toast to the head of that State,
His Royal Highness the Prince Regent of Belgium.
(the Toast was drunk)
I sincerely hope Your Royal Highness will enjoy your
visit to this country, and I hope that your visit will help to
cement further the friendship which exists between our
countries.
TOAST of The Prince Regent:
Mr. President, I sincerely appreciate your kind wel-
come, and I wish to say how warmly my countrymen and myself
regard the people of the United States. We are profoundly
grateful for your aid and sympathy in two great world wars, and
for your continued interest in our situation, and that of all
free peoples.
