godmother
My dear Mr. Kendall:
Mrs. Truman will be very
glad to serve as godmother to the
Pages of the United States Congress
while she is in the White House. I
understand that this is entirely an
honorary membership and that no
active participation in the activities
of the Page Boys will be expected of
her.
Mrs. Truman is having some
glossy prints made of the photograph
which she prefers, and she will send
one to you as soon as she receives

them from the photographers. Instead
of the message for which you ask,
Mrs. Truman will autograph this photo-
graph to the Page Boys School.
Very sincerely yours,
Mrs. J. M. Helm
