Dallas Police Department
Dallas, Texas
Gentlemen:
Three cheers for Jack Rubenstein, a truly couragoous and gract
American. Ho only did what thousands or oven 02
would have been glad to do ir afforded the privilego or opportunity
to do it. The only thing wrong with what he did was that it was too
good an'. end for the ruthless maniacial killer Lee Harvey Osvald.
He should have boen slowly tortured to death for taking tho lifo
of our great President, John F. Kennedy and thus leaving his most
gracious and attractive wife without a husband and his two omall
children without a father much less the fact that our American
Nation has lost its duly elected leader.
If this nation lives for a thouland years or longer the III
City of Dallas, Texas and each and everyone of its rocidents will
live forever under the stigmas of infamy, UNLESS Mr. Jacis Rubonstoin
is allowed to go scott free of killing Oswald. If you through your
Prosecuting Attorney demand any stiff penalty or even death in the
eleotric chair for Mr. Rubenstein, it will only make millions of
Americans wonder if your Dallas Police Force and Courts condone and
abet the actions of a vicious and ruthless killer such as Oswald who
not only kólled our beloved President but one of your own beloved
policemen. In fact if Mr. Rubenstein; were in need of funds for use
in his defense, I would gladly contribute towards it and I am certain
many other Americans would also.
Hores, sincerely hoping that the great city or Dallas, Texas will
go on record before the entire world and let overyono know that the
entire citizonry is enraged at the cowardly act of Lee Harvey Oswald,
and eliminate any stigma from its environs for the assassination of
President Kennedy; by finding some legal way to froe Mr. Jack
Rubenstein from any serious charges including the death ponalty for
the slaying of a ruthless monster such as Lee Harvey Oswald.
The name of Mr. Jaok Rubenstein will forever live in tho memory
of myself, my wife and children as a most courageous and a very brave
American.
I would groatly appreciate it if a copy of this lettor could be
forwarded to the rolatives of or to Jack Rubenstoin himpoli to let
him know what a goodly number of us feel towards him for his great
aot of heroism.
Very truly yours,
e. E. Parsons
This is not a orank letter. I have boen a strict Low abiding
oitizen but have merely expressed how outraged I feol it a nd such
as Oswald and the ultimate protection he is offored and affor
our laws. This is one fiend who did not get away with his crime
through the lamess of our courts.
