Up to 3rd Floor with Max Brooks to join Dr. (President Grover, Dr. left for New York) Dorathy Territo. at 11:30. 1:10 Lunch with Library group on 2nd Floor. Crabmeat salad and slaw 2:00 Lunch over and back to room for a minute. Several calls about leaving for Texas with President at 6:30 tonight. 2:20 Back up to 3rd Floor to Doll Room to continue talking about Library 3:00 Horace Busby left meeting. 3:10 Library meeting adjourned. 3:15 Took Max Brooks down to 2nd 3:50 Max Brooks left 4:00 Signed mail and cleaned desk with Ashton. Read chapters of Living White House 4:50 To South Grounds for a walk 5:39 Returned to 2nd Floor Worked on all clothes with Ashton:new and last years list. 6:30 Read another chapter of Living White House. 7:03 Left White House in chopper for Andrews, then boarded plane 7:30 President arrived from his trip to New York and Newark and got on plane. 8:05 With President, Jake, Marie, Mary Garner, left for Texas . Ate dinner on plane. 8:45 Arrived San Antonio and transferred to little plane to fly to Ranch. 9:06 Arrived at Ranch and went to bed early.
