NEWS PHOTOGRAPHERS' ASSOCIATION MEETING CONTINUED:
THE PRESIDENT:
At approximately 9:02 p. m. Mr. Stearns and the Vice
President will present awards to 13 prize winning photographers,
Mr. Stearns will then present several gifts including one for the
Vice President. The Vice President will acknowledge the gift and
make brief remarks concluding at about 9:20 p.m. when the program
will be turned over to Ray Bolger who will act as Master of Ceremonies
for one hour and fifteen minutes of entertainment.
NOTE:
Entertainment will be provided by Ray Bolger,
Eddie Adams and David Frye.
At the conclusion of the entertainment around 10:35 p. m.
Mr. Shutt will invite you to join him at the rostrum. Mr. Shutt will
then present to you on behalf of the White House News Photographers
a leather bound desk calendar. This will be engraved with the Presiden-
tial Seal and the dates that you have held public office. It is recommended
that you make brief remarks after acknowledging the gift.
NOTE:
Suggested remarks have been prepared
for your use.
Your remarks will be off the record.
There will be approximately 1, 400 people in attendance.
At the conclusion of your remarks Mr. Stearns will ask everyone
to rise, honors will be rendered and you will be escorted back the same
way you came in to the motorcade for return to the White House.
