SUBJECT: Birthday Greetings for Chancellor Kiesinger
The Department of State has reminded us that Chancellor Kiesinger
will be 65 on April 6, and has proposed a birthday greeting in the
form of a congratulatory letter (Tab A). I agree that it would be
appropriate for you to send congratulations, and I concur in the
proposed message.
RECOMMENDATION:
That you approve the text of the proposed birthday greeting to Chancellor
Kiesinger for transmission by cable via the American Embassy in Bonn.
