THE WHITE HOUSE
THE PRESIDENT HAS SEEN.
MONDAY, MAY 19, 1969
THE PRESIDENT:
At 10:00 p.m. you will be escorted from your office to
the steps of the Rose Garden where you will be met by Mr. Allen
H. Merrill, Chairman of Recording for the Blind, Inc. You will then
descend into the Rose Garden and proceed to the single stand-up
microphone which will be positioned on the lawn at the mid-point
of the colonnade. Mr. Merrill will then introduce you to two
winners of the 1969 Scholastic Achievement Awards:
David Steven Mischel, 21
James Winford Selby, 21
NOTE:
The third winner, Judith Ann Dent, 22,
is unable to attend, but you are sending
her a wire of congratulations today. All
of the students are blind.
