THE PRESIDENT:
BACKGROUND
The American College of Cardiology will hold its 20th annual scientific
session in Washington, D.C., from February 3 to February 6, 1971.
This organization has as its members the 3600 leading heart specialists
of the world.
You have been asked to address the plenary session on the morning of
February 4. The invitation was extended to you by Dr. Lungren, Medical
Consultant to the President, and a long-time friend of yours. In addition
to the remarks you will deliver, you will be presented with the American
College of Cardiology 1971 Humanitarian Award. This is the first award
of this kind that has been given by the College.
SEQUENCE OF EVENTS
9:10 a. m.
Motorcade departs south driveway en route
Sheraton Park Hotel.
9:20 a. m.
Arrive Sheraton Park Hotel.
You will be met by the following:
