-- CBS/NBC eye early NH returns and candidate activities
as lead story. (Special report on coverage of primary accompanies
summary today.)
-- All nets report Kleindienst and McLarens testimony.
-- Dr. Liszka denies an investigation on Medicare overcharges
influenced his testimony.
Mrs. Beard has had a set back.
-- Ramsey Clark tries to destroy Douglas' testimony in cross-
examining, but Douglas denies he was an FBI plant. NBC's
Stern says if Clark can discredit Douglas he can also discredit
Hoover.
-- US and NVN plans have "biggest" dogbattle in 3 years (CBS).
-- CBS reports Arch Moore has ordered 100 coal mine resevoirs
drained dry to help prevent future flood diasters in W. Va.
-- A bomb is found aboard a TWA flight (ABC lead) and defused
12 minutes before scheduled to explode. Threats of future bombings
leads TWA to search every flight.
-- A Belfast bombing leads to fears of a major new terror campaign
in N. Ireland.

meeting with Mao. It was called on short notice, said Rogers, and RN
