THE PRESIDENT HAS SEEN
It may be 6 months, according to Dita Beard's doctors, before
the ITT lobbyist can participate in the Sen. Jud. hearings on the
ITT/Kleindienst issue. EMK on all nets wants Flanigan to testify.
Flanigan in an interview on CBS refuses to answer on his role in
the ITT settlement, saying it wouldn't be appropriate as the Sen.
might ask him to testify and RN might invoke executive privilege.
All nets note troop levels in SVN dropped below 100, 000 --
the lowest in 7 years.

govt., following a general strike that slowed down industry, cut
electrical power, and interrupted transportation.

Time has a quite favorable cover story on Anderson; Newsweek
feature on the moral muckracker with a mission. Points out a few
more warts but still is positive on Jack's overall value

largely for political reasons and gave him little due but the food
price problem means Admin is far from home.

Life's lead is on morale
problems of remaining GIs in SVN. Sidey raps the Admin on ITT
