Led NBC and was #1 Sun/Post. Also w/#1 story, Times reported on fighting between NVA and Khmer Rouge. PM Heath ordered nat'l. security alert to combat terrorist bombings that police fear will spread from London to cities thruout GB. In lead stories Sat., NBC found Londoners calm, while CBS said they were beginning to be "unnerved." -- CBS noted UPI's Thomas report that Martha said JNM "shielded" RN in hopes of clemency and charged RN/HRH wrote strategy book that provided for activities such as W'gate. Pierpoint said latest outburst came at "unfortunate time" for RN who'd hoped for quiet weekend. No mention on NBC, and, interestingly, Bulletin was only major Sun. paper to give story P. 1 display.
