Akerman also likes Bill Buckley's idea of letting public have minimum amount of gas each week, w/price on anything above that rising as it will. Reuss (D-Wisc) on CBS AM interview endorsed rationing as the only fair way to take care of situation tho he did admit there'd be some inequities. He doesn't believe there be much of a black market and sees situation as very similar to WWII -- people have lack of confidence in gov't. He also believes WWII programs such as OPA were well handled and this could be done again.
