MEMORANDUM THE WHITE HOUSE WASHINGTON November 3, 1972 MEMORANDUM FOR THE PRESIDENT'S FILE FROM: Bill Rhatican was SUBJECT: Meeting with Mayor Louis Joseph Tullio Erie, Pennsylvania Friday, November 3, 1972 11:00 a. m. The President posed for photographs with Mayor Louis Tullio and Mrs. Tullio (Grace) for 15 minutes. The President expressed appreciation for the Mayor's efforts on the President's behalf and pledged the cooperation of the Administration to Mayor Tullio for a program to remove Norfolk & Western railroad tracks from the center of Erie, Pennsylvania. The President told Mrs. Tullio that her brother, who was killed in Vietnam four years ago, would not be allowed to die in vain and that the peace achieved in Vietnam would be a credit to her dead brother.
