other groups are exerting pressure on the White House
to force the resignation of Donald L. Dotson, Chair-
man of the National Labor Relations Board.
In our opinion, Mr. Dotson is fulfilling his duties
in a fair and just manner and we strongly oppose
attempts to replace him, especially for the reasons
given - decisions favorable to management. In the
proper performance of his job it is correct to have
some decisions favorable to management based on the
facts of the case.
We respectfully request that our name be added to the
list of Mr. Dotson's supporters and would appreciate

Good morning, Mike:
Want to strongly suggest to the staff that the best way to compaign with a woman
on the Democratic part of the ticket is to have everyone that campaigns for the
President, including the President & the V.P., home in on Walter Mondale and make
him the issue and the main focus of the campaign as he rightly should be. In recent
days many have lost sight of that and kinda got caught up on the woman issue much
too much. She isn't being elected President and God help us, if walter "ondale is

members on view in prime time and much comment directed to that. Also we have two
Women U.S. Penators that should be given a stepped up view in prime time.
The other suggestion I would have for the President and the V.P. would be an appeal
to Blacks and Hispanics to join the Republican party both as voters and get together
with others so we can have minority members with "epublican thinking seeking office
as Republicans. The party has missed this issue for some years and continues to miss
the selling of this issue
I have an idea that might bring strong support nationwide. Because homes are averaging
$100, 000. now we need a new VA hosuing loan program. As a banker & Insurance executive
I suggest a simple IRS tax change that will help many. That being to allow all banks and
S & L's that finance VA housing loans to carry those loans as tax free". the savings
in high interest rates for the vet and his family would be about 45% below present rates
of interest. Offsetting this would be a high increase in the building trades & employment
from increased economic activity It's simple idea that will have millions talking about

epic event at 10 Downing Street on June 13th.
This event serves to remind me of Invest-In-America's

I hope you find an opportunity to tell the President that
Prime Minister Thatcher was thrilled that the President received
our eagle two years ago. On my second visit to the Oval Office I
noticed the fine condition of the eagle which prompted me to ask
President Reagan what he fed it. He said, "Democrats." When I
told this to the Prime Minister, her equally splendid retort was,
"Did the eagle get indigestion?" The President might wish to
respond to Prime Minister Thatcher that, "Yes, indeed it did get
indigestion."

not a noble defense of civil rights.
Civil rights are privileges accompanying citizenship: the
right to vote, the right to trial by jury, the right to
religious freedom. People do not have a civil right to a sex
life; if we did, the Department of Justice would be overwhelmed
with complaints from unhappy males and females of every sexual
persuasion.
These are just two of the reasons why, when the final bell
rings, I will be the one still standing.
I can do the job, but I need your help. And I need it sooner,
rather than later.
We do not (and should not) have government financing of polit-
ical campaigns. It is private funding that generates competition
among issues, ideas, and personalities. For a challenger,
donations by individuals are the most important source of
private support.
Your contribution of $10, $25, $50, or $100 will enable me to
win this war. Donors whose aid during the year totals less than
$100 are not reported by name on my FPPC forms. If you do not
want your brother-in-law to know about your generous nature,

I hope you agree a change of viewpoints is long overdue in
