Re: Carlough VS U.S. Radium
Att. Mr. A. Roeder
UNITED STATES
SADIUM CORP.
My dear Mr. Roeder:
I am in receipt of your two letters of April second
and third and I desire to report that I have had a very pleasant
interview with Mr. Duffield, president of the Prudential Insurance
Co. He has assured me that if, after your conference, you still
feel that the defense to the pending case would be influenced in
any way by unwarranted remarks of Dr. Hoffman he would be glad
to take the subject up with him and try to tone down his speech.
I have spoken with the attorney of Miss Carlough
concerning her treatment at the Reconstruction Hospital in New
York City and he would like to have more details of such proposed
arrangement so that he could take it up with her family. In
other words, would the treatment be without expense to her and
would it involve her traveling to New York or would she stay at
the hospital while undergoing treatment?
I am also pleased to report that an Order discon-
tinuing the case against you was mailed to Trenton yesterday
and a copy sent to your attorney.
M/G
Very truly Mudlying yours,
