Subject: Liz Tilberis
As a reminder, I am wondering how we can raise awareness about ovarian cancer through a
presidential proclamation. You asked for more information about Liz Tilberis and ovarian cancer.
Liz Tilberis is the highly respected Editor -in-Chief of Harper's Bazaar. She was diagnosed with
ovarian cancer in 1993 and recently published a book about her experience called No Time to Die.
Each year, 27,000 women are diagnosed with ovarian cancer. A women's risk over her lifetime of
being diagnosed with ovarian cancer is 1 in 55, according the National Institutes of Health. From
1985 to 1995, NIH reported a 30 percent increase in cases of ovarian cancer.
Just let me know what we need to do next. Thanks for your help.
