Dear Hillary Clinton:
my name is
(b)(6)
and
I am sixteen years old, I live
at Buckners Childrens Village because
my parents don't want me. Buckners
is a home for children to live if
their parents don't want them, or
can't take care of them.
Enough about me. Let me tell
you why I am writing to you. I
am writing you because you are
my role model. Im serious. I
want to be like you.
There are several reasons
why I want to be like you. For
one thing, I think you are very
smart and have alot of ambition.
I like how you don't let what other
people say about you get you cain.
Like when they say that you are
too domineering, and say that
you are trying to be the president,
you don't quit doing what you are
doing. I think thats cool. Also, I
like how you are a waman
succesfully making it in a"mans"
world. Besides that, I like how
you are concerned about children
and try and help them in stuff,
Plus, you act very self- confident. Like
you have real high self esteem, that's
something that I desperatley
need.
I know that you will probably
never see this letter, much less
read it, but if you happen to, carld
you please write me back. Oh, I
want you to write me back, not one
of those people you pay to answer
your mail,
Sincerely,

(b)(6)
Dear
(b)(6)
:
Thank you for your thoughtful and compelling letter.
I am touched that you chose to share your personal story
with me. The ability to express your feelings in the way
that you have in your letter is the sign of a strong young
woman.
I hope that you realize your own strength and
potential, and develop the confidence in yourself and your
convictions that you deserve. You are to be commended on
your concern for our nation's children.
Protecting children from violence, abuse and neglect
is one of the Clinton administration's highest priorities.
However, President Clinton cannot solve these problems
alone. No matter how much work is done by the
administration, what children will continue to need most
are adults who love them, who teach them, who discipline
them, and who stand up and fight for their interests.
Thank you again for writing. My thoughts and prayers
are with you.
Sincerely yours,
Hillary Rodham Clinton
