On 29 December Mayor-elect Barry met with the President. Alexis Herman and I attended
the meeting.
Attached is a self-explanatory memorandum to Leon Panetta from me dated 3 January 1995.
You and I and Leon need to discuss the establishing of the Task Force to review the
"Federal" Pension Plan imposed on the District in the early 1980's.
Would you check the issue about getting additional cops for the District as discussed in the
attached memo, and take it up directly with Mayor Barry. We should give a very short
memo to the President regarding the status of additional cops for the District.
