Subject: Guam&Samoa in Asian/Pacific Islander EO
Why doesn't the draft definition of a Pacific Islander specify the territories of Guam and Samoa? Sens.
Inouye and Akaka also suggested it do so. Cong. Underwood of Guam can live with other pacific islands
within the jurisdiction of the U.S. but wanted Guam specified. I haven't checked with Cong. Faleomavaega
but can guess his view. Is there a reason not to Give Guam and Samoa this recognition?
