Gay and Lesbian Outreach

Primary Objectives:
Maintain relationship with key leaders in the Gay and Lesbian communities with a
limited number of outreach calls, one or two dinners, and attendance at one or two key
events in the community.

We identified 10 individuals for you to maintain relationships in the community.

Agenda; Kerry Lobell, ED, National Gay & Lesbian Task Force; Sheila Kuehl,
Speaker Pro-Temp, CA Assembly; and Jean O'Leary; and David Mixner of Los
1ST
Angeles. We still have work to do to maintain good relations with Scott Hitt,
Chair, President's AIDS Commission; Carol Migden, CA Assembly Member; Dale
McCormick, ME State Treasurer; and Rep. Barney Frank (D-MA).
We identified individuals for you to build new relationships. You have done a
great job in building relationships with 4 of the 13: Brian Bond, ED, Victory Fund;
Jeremy Bernard, activist, LA; Lori Jean, ED, LA Gay & Lesbian Center; Daniel
Zingale, ED AIDS Action, Washington. We still need to work on building
relationships with Nina Jacobson, Dreamworks; Tina Popladowski, Seattle City
Council member; Chris Quinn, NY Anti-Violence Project; Deborah Glick, NY
Assembly; Dan Pallotta, Pres, Pallotta Team Works, LA; Tim Gill, Gill
Foundation, NY Eric Bauman, activist, LA; Tom Henderson, AIDS Commission
member, Dallas; and Gloria Niato, AIDS Activist, New Mexico.
Your goal was to build in meetings with Leadership in key states (California,
Illinois, Florida and Washington State). You had a very productive meeting during
your California trip. We will work to build in meetings during your upcoming
trips to Illinois and Washington
Your goal was to call one Gay and Lesbian Community Leader or attend an event
once a month. You averaged one call per month and attend a swearing in
ceremony for Bill Ivey. Fred Hochbag. hosted the
Progress on Scheduling Opportunities:
You expressed interest in hosting a series of dinners on gay and lesbians issues.
Our goal is to have at least one dinner in November.
