Decoration: coasts shaded and outlined in color and three elaborated compass roses with direction lines radiating.
Map originally in "Le Neptune Francois, ou, Atlas nouveau des cartes marines"; although this atlas was published by Jaillot in Paris, it was printed in Amsterdam by P. Mortier" and published 1693; an English edition with title "The French Neptune" appeared also the same year.
Scale and publication date taken from Koeman's description.
