notes
Bird's-eye view and lot plan promoting property in Norfolk Hills.
Includes 5 illustrations in border: Looking towards the river -- Public Library Weymouth -- Glimpse of the town -- Weymouth high school -- Thayer Academy (children of purchasers of these lots are entitled to free tuition at the Thayer Academy) -- School in Braintree.
Cartouches at top of map for real estate agent A. W. Blanchard and for surveyor and developer W.A. Mason & Son.
Boston Public Library copy is a combination of the top and bottom parts of 2 separate copies of the view. Surveyor W.A. Mason & Son likely used the verso of extra copies of the printed views for manuscript surveys of Kinnaird St. in Cambridge. The two pieces were later taped together. Surveys include references to their survey notes, some of which are in the Dana F. Perkins surveying records at the Boston Public Library.
