Document source description

Two maps of the Lake Cochituate Watershed with environmental highlights, lake shoreline and bottom contours, water quality, fishing and boating info, historical notes, and fish species found in lake. It covers a larger area than Lake Cochituate, to include Framingham, Sherborn, Natick and Wayland with their ponds, waterways, reservoirs. The population of the area is indicated by showing each building on the map. It highlights points of interest, lists recreational sites and provides the history of the Lake Cochituate Association. Also shown are aquatic plants in Lake Cochituate as well as the common algae - drawings and descriptions. A second map shows Lake Cochituate's depth through out the lake, the roadways, neighborhoods, businesses, camps, federal and state sites, and the railroad. Diagrams of the fish with a description is given. Director was Dr. Robert Wenstrup of Wayland. Both maps were done by the Geography Dept. of Framingham State College. It was compiled by A. Richard Miller. Other names attached are George W. Hall, Donald E. McKenna, Robert Anstrey, David Standley, Alan Paterson, Alan Van Arsdale, Charles Perzinoski, Arthur Screpetis, Bruce Hanson, Thomas Palermo, Marilyn Komins, George Houghton, and Maurice Woodman.
