        "First day of May (or within a month), a list of males between the ages of eighteen and forty-five years of age eligible for military service is created. During the Civil War, a list of enlisted men is constructed and saved.",

This includes personal property as well as real estate property. Most of the mortgages in this volume are for personal property. A list of goods being held as collateral is listed.",
