Source Description
Samuel Wolcott writes to Amos A. Phelps reproaching him for he and Mr. Warren using Wolcott's correspondence relating to Mr. Paxton. He writes that "the extracts which Warren has copied & sent to you were not intended for the public...you say that the reference to me was not forbidden. I have no copy of my private communication to you, but I am sure that I gave it to you in confidence." He writes that he sent a copy of a letter to Mr. Warren on the same subject.
