Letter from Henry Clarke Wright, Roxbury, [Boston, Massachusetts], to William Lloyd Garrison, [18]65 Dec[ember] 5
In this letter to William Lloyd Garrison, Henry Clarke Wright notifies Garrison that he left him two letters to print in the Liberator, correspondence between Wright and "Frank Hinckley on St. Helena" [South Carolina] and "a final farewell" to the Liberator. Wright then states that "the dear, faithful Liberator will not die ... its spirit, its justice, its love for God & Humanity must live while Man lives." In the postscript, Wright says he hopes to see Garrison the next week as Wright "come[s] in from Taunton on that day" where he is speaking.
