Letter from Martin Robinson and Henry Egbert Benson, Providence, [Rhode Island], to William Lloyd Garrison and Isaac Knapp, 1834 Jan[uary] 6
Martin Robinson writes to William Lloyd Garrison and Isaac Knapp about the planned enlargement of the size of the Liberator. Robinson suggests that the Liberator be "put in the Quarto form" pointing out that this would be "so much more convenient for binding and future reference". He also requests them to send him 50 copies of the new edition of Garrison's "Thoughts on African Colonization." After the letter from Martin Robinson to William Lloyd Garrison and Isaac Knapp, Henry Egbert Benson writes an additional note to Garrison and Knapp, also dated from Prov[idence, Rhode Island], Jan[uar]y 6, 1834. Benson requests them to send the Liberator to some new subscribers and to discontinue the paper to "James Scott Jr." He says he hopes to send them the money he owes but "it is so scarce, that I can hardly collect any."
