Letter from Lewis Tappan, New York, to Amos Augustus Phelps, 16 Nov. 1833
In this letter to Amos A. Phelps, Lewis Tappan, a member of the committee to nominate Officers for the National Anti-Slavery Society, requests Phelps make some recommendations regarding good candidates for the President and other officers of the Society after consulting people in the abolitionist community in the New England area.
