Letter from Lewis Tappan, Brooklyn, to Amos Augustus Phelps, 1847 July 16

In this letter to Amos A. Phelps, Lewis Tappan encourages Phelps to work on the “Bible Argument” as far as his health allows. Tappan says that, if Phelps employees a person to write down his thoughts or aid him in any other way, the Executive Committee will pay for the expenses.
