Letter from S. Thompson, Eliot Station [Jamaica], to Amos Augustus Phelps, 1847 March 27
In this letter to Amos A. Phelps, S. Thompson talks about the weather hindering his work, and Mr. Evarts, Who he left at Oberlin on the Sabbath morning. Regarding the plan of the “committee at home” to purchase "Eliot land," he says it should depend on the availability of proper funds. He makes best wishes for Phelps’s journey home.
