Letter from Hopeful Toler, Washington, [D.C.], to Amos Augustus Phelps, 1846 August 2d

Hopeful Toler writes to Amos A. Phelps informing him about plans for Ann [the daughter of a friend]. Toler agrees that "it might be wise for her to be temporarily taken care of by some good hearted friend like yourself" and suggests that he take her with him to New York.
