Source Description
Samuel May Jr. asks William Lloyd Garrison to make a strong appeal on behalf of an unnamed petition in the week’s Liberator. Mays says “this is the very time to be at work.” In the postscript, May asks Garrison if he could make a stop in Cortland [N. Y.?] in his way back to Boston in October to deliver a few speeches. He provides an extract from W. H. Fish’s letter that requests Garrison’s visit to Cortland.
