Letter from Samuel May, Jr., Leicester, to Samuel Joseph May, Monday eveg. 4th Nov. 1844
Writing to Samuel J. May (Recipient), Samuel May Jr. (Writer) talks about the arrivals of newborns to both Writer’s and Recipient’s families, and about Recipient’s relocation to Syracuse. He also mentions an inquiry he received from a US publisher about a letter he wrote a year ago for publication in England, and contemplates on the possibility of getting it published in “the World” first. Finally, he criticizes the way with which an official reply to a letter from England was handled by a committee in the previous spring.
