Letter from Luther Lee, Utica, to Amos Augustus Phelps, August 14. 1839
In this letter to Amos A. Phelps, Luther Lee says he decided “to cut lose from New York” and to accept the offer to be a general agent of the Massachusetts Abolition Society.
