Esther Sturge congratulates Maria Weston Chapman on the bride and bridegroom, perhaps a reference to the marriage of Elizabeth Bates Chapman Laugel. Sturge discusses contributions to the anti-slavery bazaar. She says that no more "beautiful silvered glass" can be obtained. She refers to David Livingstone crossing Africa. Sturge asks what Mrs. Stowe is doing. Sturge praises William Lloyd Garrison for burning the "Laws of the Constitution."
Also with Call No. Ms.A.9.2 v.28, p.23 there is an envelope written by an unknown person. It has the delivery address: Miss A. W. Weston, Weymouth, Massachusetts. On the inner flap of the envelope, there is a note written by an unknown person and has the date Aug. 18?.
