Source Description

Copy of a papal bull granting a perpetual chaplaincy in the church of Atri ("perpetua cappellania ad altare beate marie ferrariorium") to the chapter and canons of Atria. This copy from Baptista de Gerardinis begins with a petition to Pope Sixtus IV from Antonius de Probis, Bishop of Ati and Penne, and includes the full text of the bull sent in response. With notarial attestation and subscriptions. On the reverse, several endorsements, two of which bear dates of 1504 and 1518, respectively.
