In addition to the form letter there is handwritten note from Isaac Boyle, Treasurer from Harvard Street in Boston acknowledged that the form letter had not been forwarded and no diocesan assessment for 1838 had been received by the Boston Diocese by 9 May 1839. It also states that the assessment for 1839 is due after Ascension Sunday.
