Tsuba with the Chinese Poet Tôba (Ch. Su Shi [Su Shih]) in Exile
The official and poet Tôba (Ch. Su Shi [Su Shih], 1036-1101) served the Chinese emperors Shenzong and Zhezong. He was exiled by both emperors because of his enemies at court. Here, he is shown riding a mule during his banishment.
