Source Description

The fuchi is shaped like the rim of a large sake barrel. Overflowing sake is shown in gold. Also depicted are a ladle for getting sake and a gold fan. The bucket of the ladle is made of silver and has a wave pattern that is repeated on the matching kashira. This is part of a set with Walters 51.989.
