Source Description

This crossbow fibula was found together with a buckle (Walters 57.664) and some glass beads in 1876 at Nagy-Várad, Hungary (Oradea, Romania). It is decorated with garnet settings, cast S-shaped scrolls and banding, and four animal headed terminals, the largest with garnet inlaid eyes.
