Teapot

1736-1795 (Qing dynasty (1644-1911)) H: 5 11/16 in. (14.4 cm) Citation Source image

The body of the vessel was made in a mold that formed chrysanthemums in low relief; then it was decorated with a marblized pattern within which there is actually a landscape, with mountains, trees, and mist. Here a landscape lies within a teapot painted to look like marble.
