Portrait of a Woman, said to be from South Carolina
This portrait was set into a brooch by L. Siddons of Charleston, South Carolina in June 1853. The portrait is said to be a woman of that state painted in Paris. It has been suggested the portrait may be by the French miniaturist Jean-Baptiste Jacques Augustin.
