Source Description

Little is known about the artist Edward G. McDowell, but he exhibited at the Maryland Historical Society in 1858 and specialized in landscapes. The title of this wash drawing is inscribed on the reverse, with the additional information that the Falls are "63 [feet] in height - perpendicular."
