Nude Female

5th century

4.8 cm 11 cm

Citation Source image

This subtle carving of an undraped female appears to be in the round, but is actually a high relief. The thin background has been broken away all around the figure and only two fragents of it at her right hand and right knee remain. The left arm and lower legs are missing.
