Source Description

A bell is shown as though it is hanging at the top of the kozuka. A cord hangs down from the bell. Bells such as this are found at Japanese shrines, near the main site. They are rung by pulling on the cord. Visitors ring the bell before praying to the gods. The artist's signature is on the reverse of the kozuka.
