Source Description

This large and coarsely carved ivory shows the Crucifixion beneath a single trefoil arch with a crocketed gable and two trefoils above. The Three Marys are at the left of the Cross, and John and a Hebrew at the right.The hinges are missing, and a break appears at the upper hinge slot. The surface is considerably rubbed; several cracks are visible.
