Source Description

The bitter feud between two retainers of the Honda ruler ("daimyo") reaches a climax in a midnight sword fight. Nagoya Sanzaemon (at left) is a better swordsman but looses the fight due to trickery. His sword was blunted beforehand by his devious opponent Fuwa Banzaemon. The wicked Banzaemon, who had started the feud out of jealously, is eventually killed by those seeking justice for Sanzaemon's family.
