Source Description

This tsuba illustrates a Chinese poem about a horse pawing fallen cherry blossoms, which restored their fragrance. The horse is shown in the lower right, under a cherry tree that occupies the right side of the tsuba. Along the bottom of the tsuba are dandelions. The reverse side shows the back of the same scene.
