Source Description

The god Ganesha is depicted as if he were an Indian ruler, with a portable tent held above him and a rich carpet underneath. At upper left is Ganesha’s father, Shiva, and his mother, Parvati, sits at upper right. The god Vishnu appears at lower left. The fourth figure, at lower right, is a devotee of some sort--perhaps the author of the text that this illustration might have accompanied.
